Greetings and salutations! Welcome to my new blog! I’m Talisha, aka, the Blerdy Librarian. Nice to meet you good to see you kitto. If my writing reads/sounds familiar it’s because you’ve seen in its other forms from my variants in the multiverse.
Tell me if this sounds familiar…
I’m a writer, beginner arts and crafter, a plant mom and former and future cat mom. I’m an Afro-Caribbean, Indigenous, Jewish lady who comes from an interfaith family. I’m in the early years of middle age. My pronouns are she/her/hers and they/them/theirs.
As I’ve stated above, I’m a writer. Between 2011 to 2016, I freely wrote for a myriad of pop culture sites, before retiring. Six of my comic book stories were published in the Womanthology and Grayhaven Comic’s The Gathering anthologies. I’ve also self-published poetry books and short stories, one novel, and two novellas. And after taking a long break from fiction writing, I’ve started to dip my toe back into the water and I’m continuing to work on stories that I hope to share publish in the near future.
In addition to writing, I’m a novice artist and crafter. I’ve always loved arts and crafts and over the years developed an interest in the hobby. During the early days of the pandemic, I took the plunge and started creating. Unfortunately due to my current stressful living conditions, I haven’t done a lot of art or crafting, but I hope to change that in the near future.

I just graduated from library school in December 2023 and I’m currently job seeking so wish me luck!
So what can you look forward to hopefully reading on here?
Well primarily what I would like to share here are some of my thoughts and ponderings on various topics through my writing while also sharing some of the things I’m attempting to create from my minds eye to the physical plane-my art. And though I’m not the best at it, I hope to express and share these things as best as I can. I hope it’ll be enough to keep you engaged and invested and if not, there’s no hard feelings. Perhaps I’ll share more beyond that or perhaps not (again with boundaries which I’ll do a separate post on so stay tuned). And if I don’t have something to write about, then that’s where WordPress’ daily writing prompts will come in.
